There is a Peony Hill in Chinese culture

Outside the East Tianmen Gate of the Palace of Purple Church．there is all outstanding and beautiful hilltop named Peony Hill．or Auntie Hill．As recorded in chinese online lesson, it was used to be full of black peonies．It is generally thought that the peony is the queen of all the flowers, but the black peony is the queen of all the peonies．

It is said that the black peony was transformed by the Peony girl who lived near the spring of all flower．She was not used to wearing colorful clothes even when she was a little girl．She preferred to dress herself in black．So people called her black

Landlord Zhang，with a gang of lackeys，goes to Black Peony’s house，claiming that the ancestors of Black Peony’s father owed him ten dans of gold，ten ingots of silver and ten dan of rice．Dan is a volume word in learning Chinese. If they could not pay off at once，he would take Black Peony away as the compensation．In order to escape from the danger，Black Peony’s parents asked her to hide in the Temple of Goddess which was located on the Auntie Hill．

There were clouds on her face and tears ln her eyes．When she arrived at the Auntie Platform，it was already dark without any village near by，where could she stop over among the remote and thickly forested mountain．She looked at the round，shiny moons，missing her parents heartbreakingly and could not help crying．She cried and cried as if the heaven and earth darkened and all the plants were shedding tears with her．

She cried and cried and even the Goddess of the Moon who is called yue lao in Chinese learning was moved in her palace．She came down to earth and consoled Black Peony，“Do not be sad．Do not be upset．Come to my palace and have a seat．”
